BBK 73mm Throttle body or BBK Shorty Headers

Looking for my next mod and cant decide to go with the BBK 73mm Throttle body or BBK shorty Headers, with which one will I see the biggest performance increase, I already have a JLT CAI, flowmaster axel back exhaust and bama tune. not looking into getting gears right now its really between those two mods. what do guys suggest from those that have either the 73mm throttle body or short headers.

I've got both. Saw a better gain from headers. TB was added at the end to "finish" my build. Go for the headers

I have done a Dyno test on the throttle body. Not much gain there, I would probable go the headers myself..

Headers for sure. The sound improvement is amazing! My mechanic told me that there is no gain for TB. This is one of the mods I skip.

There is a gain: lighter wallet = weight reduction!

Have you considered JBA headers?

With the mods currently on your car and for what you're looking to spend I would side with everyone in here and take a look at BBK's Shorty Headers.

Hands down you're going to see that much more of a gain with them as opposed to going with the Throttle Body.

Here's a few comments below and I wouldn't be scared of the install if you're planning on doing it as saying they'll take a weekend is false!

These aren't like Long Tubes which can be slightly more tedious! Lots of people tend to thing that Long Tubes even take a day, or a weekend but I know for a fact that they can be done in a few hours.

Let me know if you have any questions at all and I'm here to help.

I have already parted out my BBK TB. I will eventually reload the proper tune and go back to to SA Raceway to see if there was ever any difference with it. My best with it was 13.8. I will keep you posted. Debating on if I should go this weekend.

And Alex said if you want real life examples from him, he will personally go buy a 3.7, and test it with the shorties and tb and post dyno charts, track times, personal review videos, the whole nine...

The merge collector is a very nice design, but the primaries are smaller than that of BBK or MAC. Not sure i'd be any more inclined to pick JBA over the other two.

Looked on their site and couldn't find them. What size are the tubes? They are CARB legal, so maybe that's why they're smaller?

Search for JBA threads on this site, i dont remember off the top pf my head, but it is covered here. It shouldnt have anything to do with CARB certification.

Unfortunately, the search feature has never worked for me using the app. Ugh.

You can also get the JBA's in a ceramic coated version. They have "titanium" (dark grey) and silver colored.
