Anyone got proper track keys?

Something like this?

Transponder Key Blank for 2011 2012 2013 2014 Ford Mustang Taurus Edge Flex | eBay

It reduces weight and improves 1/4 time.

I am having trouble getting it cut. Every lock smith declined the service.

shaves a second or two off the 1/4 mile....more than a tune!

i've had the car for over a year and i keep saying "i'm gonna get a few blanks as spares" and just never did it. this is pretty cheap though. why won't anyone copy one for you?

Probably because they think if I don't buy their blank keys, they can't make a profit out of it. They also do not want to take the blame if the key doesn't work.

We're you going to a big box store key counter or a dedicated locksmith? I've had luck for this sort of thing with small mom-and-pop locksmiths.

Can't blame them for trying to make a profit. Why should they use your blank anyway? After all, your not going to a Ford Dealer and buying it from them, because it's too expensive. Isn't the locksmith entitled to make a profit?
