GT500 quad catback on the way.

Trying to think of my best option for having these installed. I'm thinking I should just have an exhaust shop use my stock muffler pipes. What do you guys think? I also need to figure out how big the bumper cutout needs to be. I'm thinking the same as the Magnaflow cutout?

Wait, you got the valance as well right? You need the valance. Once you cut your bumper for the valance you could never use it for anything other than a quad tip exhaust.

I'm going to cut out my valence. Mine is a 2012, so no other valence available for quad tips that I know of.

Oh got it. On the 13/14 there is an outline on the back of the bumper where to cut for the valance. I'm not sure if it's like that on yours or not. You will have to make sure you do a good job at cutting the bumper, I assure you it's not easy. Luckily you can't see the crappy cutting job I did on my bumper, the valance covers it. If you don't do a good job it really will look bad.

Also, if you accidently snafu it. I still have my oem 2011 valance. I swapped it out for the Boss 302. That's the look I was going for. I can look at mine and snap a photo for you if you'd like. To see if there are lines for you to cut for. I doubt it since the quads really came in oem-ish on the 13-14 Gt500 right?

Yeah, hopefully I'll do good. I doubt there's a cut line.

I think what I need is the Magnaflow cutout template. I would think that would work. I'm going to call them tomorrow to see if they'll send me one. I would like to see some good pics of our style valance. I'd like to know how the backside looks and the mounting points.

It takes a little work and if you have access to a lift it makes things a lot easier to take the old mufflers off and put the new ones on. The most important thing about taking them off is to lube up all of the rubber donuts with silicone spray...a lot of it!
Since you have an 11 I would suggest taking your lower valance off the car, installing the mufflers without tightening anything, then refit the rear valance and cut as little as possible to make them fit. Since the 11 rear valance is totally different than a 13/14 I'm not sure how the twin tips will look as they are cut on an angle to conform to the 13/14 valance.
I apologize as the car is pretty dusty...also needs a wash.
Let me know if I can help.

The '10-12 valance is curved as well, so the angle of the tips looks good. I've seen plenty of pics showing them. I'm first going to put my stock catback back on the car. Then, when I get the GT500 catback, I'm going to mock it up like you say. I replied to the other thread requesting measurements. Thanks again!
