Exhaust comparison.

Removed my Dynomax Ultraflo catback today and installed the stock catback to get ready for the GT500 axle back. I took a couple pics for comparison and also a video of my car with the BBK off-road x-pipe and stock cat-back in case anyone wanted to know what it sounds like. It is sooooooo much quieter. I can't even hear it on the highway lol. I also can once again hear the intake sound of my CAI.

How much did you pay for the quad tip gt500s?

$300 shipped. Cost the seller $65 to ship UPS.

I also hung one of the GT500 mufflers up by one of the hangers to get an idea of how the tips will sit. Looks like they will sit quite nicely without too much sticking out and of course, I'll be able to adjust them somewhat. Called Magnaflow the other day and got them to email me their template to cut out the bumper. Went by a UPS store today and had it printed out. I'll check tomorrow to see if the opening would be wide enough for the GT500 tips.

Hope your new setup sounds better, sounded like a tin can.

Yeah, I don't too much like it. All of the GT500 catback videos I've seen have sounded really good. I hope I get the same result. If not, it may be back to the drawing board. Still debating on whether to run GT over the axle pipes or fit the GT500 mufflers to my stockers. I am positive about the quad tip exhaust, as it will have a different exhaust path.

I have wanted to put my stock catback back on to see what it would sound like with the off-road x-pipe. Others have been curious as well. Now we know.

Hopefully, that will change when I install the GT500 catback with stock GT over axle pipes with resonators.
