I have a CAI and they didn't say anything about it when they replaced my water pump under the drive train warranty.

Negative. Check out the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act.

But also keep in mind that all you'll gain from a CAI is some eye candy under the hood, some more sound, and lighter pockets. No performance gains to be had there.

No!
The question is, can it ever be blamed as the cause of an engine problem? Highly unlikely.

it could, depends on the dealer service manager and dist rep. And how you act if you have a problem

They would have to be able to prove that the intake was the cause of the problem.

It's highly highly unlikely they would be able to blame anything on an intake.

The only warranty it would affect would be for the intake itself, meaning if the intake were to fail, Ford is not responsible, as it is no longer a Ford part. As others have stated, they could not deny you other warranty claims that are not related to the intake. For example, if you were to take the vehicle in for a transmission related issue under warranty, the intake would not effect that, so your warranty would be good.

as long as it is a no tune required intake. Everything said above is true, I'll add in talk to the dealer you would go to for wtty service and see what they say. If you don't like their answer consider another dealer. Remember wtty is from Ford not the selling dealer.

stop in and say hi to your sales person...get a friend at the dealer.
