70k

So last Friday my car hit 70k miles and here are my thoughts. Original I traded a Mazda 3 for my 2013 v6 deep impact blue and I love this car besides the rattling that's comes with a car with this many miles now on it and two accidents later along with a exhaust leak by one of the headers. But besides those two things she is going strong and I love it hope to make it to a million miles in this car

That's a great goal to shoot for with your 2013 v6 deep impact blue! I would love to have the ability to hold onto a car longer than 6 years. I'm already considering an upgrade and mine is a 2012 with 52k miles

I'll never understand people that sell/trade a car that quickly. I have sold 1 car with under 150k miles and it had 130k.

Cars will run for well over 200k with basic maintenance. Some would rather pay a car note than maintenance.

That's awesome. I plan on keeping mine for at least another 5 years because for me no new car can make me happier than being car payment free

I have ADD, my brain looses interest in things more quickly

I also just really really really want those 2 extra cyl! The sound they bring is just so damn nice...

You will always be paying for something. Heath insurance, car ins., morgage or rent, cell phone, school loans. yeah it helps not to have payment you could prevent but I will say now that my car is 4 years old i almost expected it to have changed a lot more or to have more miles on it than it does. So who knows, maybe I'll keep the lil bugger.

Nice this October marks my 2nd year anniversary and I have just under 40k miles. Runs and sounds great and fortunately have had not any issues. The check engine light went off once or twice with the p0052 code or something like that, but after clearing it it hasn't come back on.

Flowmaster force 2 exhaust, procharger supercharger, carbon fiber dash overlay kit, modern retro shift knob, mmd hood and side scoops, classic quarter louvers, gt500 spoiler, 3.7 and pony emblems, mustang rocker stripes, eibach anti sway roll bar kit, Bbk shorty ceramic tuned headers

good to hear stuff like this.....I was at my dealer last night picking up an oil filter. Small town dealer had 5 GT's in stock...4 were MT's with the performance package = $40K (each!) my sales person said she could work me up a quote I told her not to waste her time. I really like the new style but dang that is a lot of $ for a toy.

fyi they look real nice in white with black trim.

forgot to add 4 yo nice day toy = 24K miles.

I have a 2014 MT and I just hit 65K. The only problem I have had is a rear diff leak so they had to change the gasket under warranty. Its running strong and should run to 200k no problem!

At 150k the owner's manual says to replace the timing components. Anyone know what ballpark this typically runs?

I had to retime my old 3000GT and it was in no way cheap.

No way to know for sure , but unless you are very close to that (say next year or so) dont worry about it. Just another headache.

Alright. I had the timing belt break on my 3000GT going down the road and it was not a fun experience. This is definitely one of those items you want to be proactive with.
