RTR Spoiler and Decklid Installed!

So after months of fretting about drilling my trunk for the RTR spoiler, I finally took the plunge with the arrival of my RTR decklid and put my car under the knife. It was every bit as painful as I imagined it would be, but the results look fantastic

I did consider it Rapinator...the bolts seemed to tighten/hold just fine...but I do appreciate it (and if it fails me you can see you told me so )

The spoiler picks up wind easily. And the little studs attached to it are weak.

At 130+ mine started to left off the trunk. Then I bolted it down

All I c is shots from underneath. Post pics of diff angles. For someone that's never seen the spoiler it's hard to tell what it really looks like especially being black

Did RTR discontinue the spoiler or something? It hasn't been available in ages.

I'll definitely keep an eye on it! At this point I'll doubt I'll ever push the cars to those speeds, but if I ever do, I'll look into extra support.

You can find replicas on eBay, I believe.

And who knows? With the reappearance of the decklid, maybe the spoiler will come back as well...?

Looking really sharp man but I agree we need more angles of the setup to really appreciate what you have done.

Looks really good! Wonder if that deck lid will be prone to scratching?

I've seen chin spoiler replicas, but not the rear spoiler.

It seemed to hold up fine to a wash and wax...but it is black

I'm sure it's not near as nice as the legit one. But for 90 bucks it's worth a shot for someone who wants one of these bad enough.

In case anyone is curious as to what comes with it and how it mounts.

Thanks for the info!
Kind of a bummer it doesn't fit the factory holes (at least for someone replacing a spoiler)...although not sure if it mounts with bolts, or tape only?

I think you're just buying the piece of plastic and figure out the mounting yourself. There's no reason you couldn't drill a few holes that line up with the factory ones and shove a bolt through the spoiler in those locations. That's what I would do if I were to get it.

You could also use a set of those screws that are self tightening...I think that's what they are called. Comes with the little spring loaded clamp and such.

Looking exceptionally sharp brother! The side splitters really complete the look.
