setting speedo with SCT

Hey everyone,

Thanks
Randy

Change the tune shouldn't change the speedo. Bama gives you 3 tunes...but there all set up for the same gear ratio.

Yeah, the tune should already be set to your gear ratio based on the info you provided them.

4.10s eh? manual or auto?
Do you have the stock drive shaft still installed?

When you press next on the tuning device, it should bring you to a menu that gives you options to mess with such as gear ratio, idle rev limit, speed limiter, etc. You'd select what you want there before pressing Next to start the actual tuning process.

The way I interpret it...
1. The tunes did not include the higher gear ratio.
2. He previously corrected a tune for the gears.
3. He just installed a new tune, which also didn't include the gears, and now can't remember how/where he adjusted for it previously.

This is all assuming it's adjustable by the user, of course.

Sorry for the confusion.....
Yeah, the tune was for octane rating and I had to manually set the gear ratio for the 4.10 which was added after the tune. Long story short, I changed the tune to another octane but went back to original and forgot where the setting is for the speedo. Called Steeda but they were closed for the day.

AHHH, gotcha. Well hopefully you were able to get it figured out. Are you running those 4.10s with the stock drive shaft? if so how long have you been running them for?

I'm running the stock drive shaft. Had the 4.10 for about a year and a half now. I don't hot rod the car hardly ever (only has 14000 miles) and on the hiway I usually run no more than 70 mph. Car is an automatic.
