Wanted a quad tip exhaust but now changed my mind

I had been looking at the Magnaflow Competition quad tip mufflers for a while, and pair them with a 13/14 GT500 rear valance. But being that they're made specifically for 11-12 Mustang v6's, They probably won't fit on my car without some modification done to the hangers and possibly the 2.25" pipe. A couple hours ago I browsed around AM and found this rear valance MMD by FOOSE Mustang Rear Valance Diffuser 387427 (13-14 GT, V6) - Free Shipping

What do you guys think? I think I'll settle for this with either the Borla S-Type axlebacks or the Magnaflow Comps single tip catback.

Truthfully the only difference between the 11-12's and the 13-14's is the tips stick out about 1/2 inch more. My Borla Tourings are for a 11-12.
Also the V6 has 2.25 exhaust from 11-14, the 05-10 had 2.5.

I should have clarified it better. Typically when using the 13/14 GT500 rear valance, the GT500 axblebacks whether OEM set, or any of the aftermarket sets are used. The Magnaflow Competition quad tip mufflers listed for the 11-12 v6 Mustangs require cutting the rear bumper and that's it. The mounting hangers on them appear to be in the same position as any other single tip axleback mufflers. But when I look at the 13/14 GT500 specific axlebacks, the exhaust hangers consistently appear to sit at a higher position to make the mufflers themselves sit lower.

I would think that maybe someone can confirm this. But being worried about fitment and such, I would rather keep it all bolt-on as much as possible.

That's no help to me. I wanted to know if quad tip Magnaflow Competition axlebacks listed for 11/12 Mustang v6's can fit on my '13 with the GT500 rear valance, without too much modification to the mufflers themselves.

Ah, I gotcha. I'm thinking maybe they might sit too high. You can see in my thread where I had to raise the GT500 mufflers to fill the Magnaflow cutout. So, I would assume that the cutout in the GT500 valance would be lower, considering the original position of my mufflers.

The Magnaflows even with quad tips would still be lighter than stock. The Magnaflow mufflers are a lot smaller.

With all the traction problems that Mustangs have adding weight behind the rear wheels is actually a help, not a hindrance. But then again the quad tips together probably weigh less than one of the stock mufflers.

Lol, I'm prolly one of many who are not the least bit concerned about the weight of a couple mufflers. If you can notice the weight difference while driving, well, I tip my hat to you.

Wanted a quad tip exhaust but now changed my mind

The stock mufflers weigh a ton, pretty much anything aftermarket will be lighter.

The OEM ones that come on the manual are heavier than the OEM ones that come on the autos.
