Free - poke a hole in one of the exhaust pipes.

$$$ - get a high flow catted x or h pipe.

You really have 2 options. Either get new axle backs or get a catless/ hi flow h/x pipe or headers.

Ford Racing makes a cut and clamp X pipe. I would suggest this if you're looking for a tad louder. You have to cut the hybrid x/h out with a sawzaw and then clamp this in:

Ford Racing Cut and Clamp Mustang X-Pipe M-5251-MV6A (11-14 V6) - Free Shipping

Also, a set of shorty headers will compliment the stypes nicely.

This is my exact set up and I get compliments on it all the time saying it sounds great with some mistaking it for a GT : BBK shorty headers, cut and clamp x pipe, and borla stypes.

Don't these high flow cats sometimes cause a CEL?

Short tube headers will lower the tone as well as make it louder. With my setup with the Borla Touring A/B's people think I have the Stingers, and it is 50 state legal.

i think the stock headers are shorty headers. you can just get a new midpipe and make the exhaust overall louder. as far as the axlebacks specifically go, you can't really make them louder on their own other than to take out the mufflers and just straight pipe it or get new mufflers. if you get an offroad x-pipe to go along with the stock headers you can be getting some pretty decent noise. I'm pretty sure the x-pipe is the midpipe that will give you the loudest sound

Stock are cast manifolds not shorty headers.
