Cool Barton short throw shifter

Hi all
I'm thinking about buying the barton with 2post bracket for my 2013, my question is is it ideal for daily driving? also does it eliminate the sloppy ness of the stock shifter, such as 1-2 sound like a clunk or the 2-3 sometimes misses, and the 3-4 sometimes sounds loud when shifting at 3k. thanks

I loved my Barton shifter. It cleans up the shifting a lot, especially with the two post. The Barton is amazing when you're driving hard, there's the slightest resistance to putting the gear in, and then it basically just sucks it in, super smooth. So, when you're driving hard and driving with a purpose its very nice and crisp, but sometimes after a long day at work that little extra oomph to get into gear can be a bit much. I never contemplated going back to stock, it was never that bad, but it was a comment i made more than once.

There is a bit of a notchy feel to it but for my part with mine (Barton shifter and two post bracket) there is no comparison and I'm glad I upgraded.

I've got the Barton and the BlowFish ( street version) ... shifter is better than stock no doubts about that, but with the solid trans mount- it rattles. Tore the dash apart looking for that sound, and it came down to the shifter. Called Barton and they are aware of the issue, told me how to fix it by filling the shifter tube with grease . That was a temp fix as the grease wears away... I finally fixed it 90% of the way by putting a sliver of foam inside the spring that operates the reverse push down. It's quite now, except for really hard pulls, I will still get a little rattle around 3500rpm. If you're not picky no worries, but if you are... just something to think about with the above combination.

I was driving down the street shifting and my Barton snapped in half. Had to pull over and take off center console goof around to get home. Loving my MGW though!! If dont wanna spring for that it is supposed to be good according to most. I have pics and all.
