Got the GT500 style rims!

Loving these! They definitely turn heads. Thought about the Charcoal color to match the authentic gt500's but opted for the gloss black (Charcoal looked slightly dull). They are 20" with Nitto Invo High Performance tires. Click image for larger version

Very nice. Consider me jealous. The OEM ones are Ford's Hyper Dark. AM has something similar but not quite the same. Theirs is a little too shiny.

Looks good.
I always thought the OE color really looked great on my old Race Red Mustang....even better than the OE TrakPak wheels. Also liked the 19's in front 20's in the rear.

yep (whatever wax you prefer) I do mine each time I swap out tires summer/all season it makes them easier to keep clean. Brake dust can be a pita to remove

nice 1st car!

Just curious, how often do you clean your wheels? I've had my mustang for a little over a year and wash the wheels every time I wash the car and really haven't had a problem with brake dust or them being very dirty. I do wash the entire wheel not just the front spokes. Now if I had wheels with all those spokes I could see that being more of a problem I suppose as it's probably harder to reach the backside of the wheel.

I bought a long handled bottleneck type brush made specially for cleaning wheels. I clean them every time I wash them and I wax them with a protectant. I only did that once about a month before she was put away for the winter. Keeps the wheels Shiney and it made them easier to wash. Can't remember who I bought the brush from. Maybe Autogeek. But I think you can find it on Amazon.

This is the brush I bought it is flexible and dries back in shape and is gentle yet tough. But I only have 5 spokes but small open areas between. Bought at Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Omega-Speed-Ma...ds=wheel+brush

I do rims (outside) whenever I wash. I find washing cars one of those Zen-like pleasures as it's only done on nice days and you get your choice of beverage and music.

I'm with you mud, I easily spend a couple hours washing my car and enjoy every moment of it. I've never spent as long as I do on this car on any other car. I wash inside and outside of wheel every time I wash though. I find it's easier to keep them cleaner that way, doesn't give the brake dust time to build up.

I shouldn't say washing for a couple hours as that would be very wasteful of water. The washing part is pretty quick, it's the detailing part that i take my time and enjoy.

And sorry guys, I wasn't asking what you use. I was asking how often you washed them inside and outside because someone commented about waxing them to help with brake dust. I have wheel brushes, they worked great on my 17" base wheels to get inside but since I switched to 20" I just use a microfiber sponge. Covers more wheel and a whole lot easier.

Sorry - I wash them every time inside and out. But this stuff really helps cleaning them if you apply it every so often.

Chemical Guys WAC303 Wheel Guard Rim and Wheel Sealant - 8 oz. Smells great too. LOL. But it shines them and they clean so much easier after it has been applied. Just like wax - you put it on - let it sit for about 15 minutes and buff off. Great stuff. Again I was able to get it off Amazon a bit cheaper than their website.
