I did dynamat in my old truck. Pulled all the interior out the dash seats and carpet. Installed the dynamat everywhere. It's good stuff expensive and adds a good amount of weight, which is the downside.
Oh I love it for what it costs it's definitely worth it compared to dynamat which is more than a hundred I believe compared to 15 bucks for a roll which is enough to cover the whole trunk..
MPT tune, Axle exchange Aluminum driveshaft, 3:73 gears, borla stype, frrp x pipe, Mac ceramic shorty headers, airaid cai, Jlt separator, koni orange shocks and struts, SR Springs, gt500 mounts, J&M Panhard bar, Bmr LCA, 2010 gt500 wheels, roush chin splitter, roush louvers, and RTR stripes... ? ?
It is for soundproofing, it definitely lessen any unwanted noise in the cabin specially in the rear end.. I miss the rumble my exhaust makes but I know it's there..

I can't find it now, but there is a massive thread of comparisons on one of the big audio forums. Peel & seal did pretty poorly. Plus if you live in a hot area your car tends to smell like asphalt.
Spring for butyl based products and stay away from the asphalt ones.
Been looking into this very project to do over the winter. There's a lot of forums and feedback on peel n seal. Even on lowes.com the reviews are by ppl that used it for soundproofing their cars. I've seen just as many or more reviews saying there's no smell (the smell isn't bad or is non existent unless you put your nose on it, even it is noticeable for a couple weeks then goes away) vs "it stinks" that I'm considering giving it a try. The cost vs dynomat is substantial. My only reservation is that it sounds like it would be a mess if you had to remove it. That's a good reason to start small and maybe only do the trunk! I think I just talked myself into doing the trunk with it! Thanks TedG!
