Sales price for 2011- 2014 V6

I am contemplating purchase of a late model V6 in several months. I generally find that a 2014 with under 30K on the clock is the same or less in price than a comparably equipped 2011-2012 with 50k miles. This is within 500 miles of Great Falls. Any idea why?

Sales price for 2011- 2014 V6

are you looking at similar optioned cars? Older premium cars will be valued the same as newer car models.

And lastly used car prices are set by the seller so they can ask as much as they want. So may be more motivated and have a lower price while some say if I can sell at x price great if not I'll keep it. Best bet is to research kbb, nada, etc and come up with what you believe is a fair market value

Wouldn't say newer "bad" models I specifically did not want sync for certain reasons and sometimes it's better to buy a base model then upgrade a few bits than buy premium like in my specific case,

On a side not if you see a 2013-14 cheaper than a 2011-12 buy it cause the taillights on the 13-14 are 1,600 they are worth a lot of money I have guys who ask to buy them for their 2011-12 gt's pretty often so theirs value in that at least

I am looking at base models with cloth interiors for purchase. I understand a premium model with the higher asking price. It doesn't make sense to me newer for equal or less.

The tail lights on the 2013-2014 Mustangs are sealed units. So if a bulb burns out, you have to replace the whole unit. On 2012 model Mustangs you only have to unscrew a bulb cover and replace it.

It's all good haha but yes that is true but from my understanding they are ccfl which last a ridiculous amount of time like many year time I had ccfl lights on another car they came with a 500,000 hour garuntee on them the lights are valued mostly for their look though

I believe they are ccfl, that and led are the two basic methods of making light bars like that, but the led version isn't sealed like ours is, usually company's will opt for ccfl (it's brighter and smoother) and eliminates a lot of hassle with an led setup trying to make a bar light

Problem is like states above if they go out the whole thing goes so they are usually in one sealed unit and cost a bit more than regular units

I had a similar tailight on my scion tc where it looked like a solid bar but if you get close you see the inconsistencies also sometimes one light would go out and there'd be a dark spot but I could just replace just one bulb

I don't know the answer to your question but I do know when I bought my '14(factory order) they had $3000 in standard rebates and they had sent me a coupon in the mail worth another $750 off. That's $3750 off the best price you could negotiate.
I have often wondered if all those rebates got reflected in the resale price of the car.
Did you ever look to see how NADA, Kelley blue book, Edmunds, or any of those used car price guides compared for their values?

kbb shows 2014 averages 2 grand more than 2012 with 30K miles each. No options.
