Hmmm would that really be a bad thing?!!!! Get more airflow without the restriction?

I took it off for now. Not to sure what I want to do anymore when it comes to this car.

I would rather down grade (to me it really isnt a down grade but to some it may be) and just get an older GT.

I was on the hunt for a better sound for my Sixxer and it just seems impossible to do so without having to spend a lot of money on exhaust pieces that will more than likely put more restrictions on the power to achieve a more bassy/deep growl/rumble sound.

Don't get me wrong. I still believe I have one of the coolest and most sexiest body styles for the V6 Mustangs to date but the sound....sound is just horrible to me. I dont know maybe something is wrong with my ears and brain.

Oh well in 5 years I can start looking for something with a better "sound".

you either need to appreciate the sound of non-V8 motors or get a V8

Yea I know Mud. Believe me I know. You sound like my wife. If only it was that easy to just switch to a V8.

Thanks for the comment...

I have only bassani axlebacks and am happy, I don't drag race but really enjoy the twisty's and am setting my pony up for road course eventually.

TBTH, a V6 with a correctly setup exhaust sounds great. But it does not sound like a V8. If you are wanting it to sound like an older 4.6L or a Coyote... never going to happen no matter what you do. But that doesn't mean that a sixxer does not sound good.

Like I said I love my car but the sound she produces.

But to achieve a "decent" sound you will need to spend an arm and a leg on exhaust pieces or get a complete custom exhaust built.

I dont know to be honest. I've spent plenty of hours on YouTube (more time than I want to spend) on searching for countless setups for the Sixxer's and most are "decent" but nothing that makes me feel it in my chest. YouTube is the worst place to do exhaust comparisons and I know that.

Thats probably part of my problem though. I am the only one in my little group of friends and in my family that owns a V6 mustang. Everyone else either has old school classics like Chevy Novas, etc or Imports. Most of my family members are Nissan fans... which is nothing wrong to be a fan of.

Now that I think about it I have only one family member with a mustang and he owns 5.0 2014. He did used to have a 2009 GT but he totaled that one. Again though V8 and not a V6.

So I have nothing to compare my car to.

Also it seems like here in Houston theres an absence of a Cyclone group. Again nothing to compare my car too and I've reached out on these Forums to set up meets but not one bite.

I did some spirited driving around town today with my windows down and I ended up turning off the Shaker just so I could enjoy the sound of my Magnaflows. Don't get me wrong, when I hear a V8 opening it up wide I still get a little 8-envy, but for just the cost off some nice axle backs I really love the sound of my V6.

I've put a total of $1200 that I've put into my Pony, I am very happy. I wouldn't trade the quality and condition of my 6 for the power of an 8 in the same price range.

Thats good to hear Hawk. I guess if I had some twistys to enjoy my car with it would be different. Here in Houston you have nothing but Bumper to Bumper traffic and horrible roads with "bandaids" for the holes every where.

Only decent roads are some of the Freeways here and that means going straight...which can be fun but again traffic is always an issue and you do not want to trust whats on the road either even if its a newly paved - they are still un-prepped roads.

I dont know, at this point, what I'm complaining about is nothing. Some people dont even have a car let alone a Mustang to drive around with. I just need to learn to be happy with what I got myself and just wait for what the future holds.

Patience has never been an easy thing for me. Just sucks that I feel like I wasted some good money on this Tune and I am still unhappy with it. One thing though I did get two tunes. One with the Ghost cam and the other without. All I can say is that the Performance 93 tune without the cam is AWESOME to say the least.

Yeah I hear you there, bud. I tend to get the same way with cars and TVs... Always want the upgrade. Lol

At least you have access to 93 octane... That so pisses me off.
