Steering whee center cap

Anyone know if it's possible to replace the silver mustang center cap on the steering wheel? Mine has a few scratches.

Yes, it's possible. You have to remove the airbag and then the cover, unbend the tabs that hold on the badge and pull off. Then you put a new one on. Don't forget to disconnect the battery first though.

I'm getting one that says GT. Kind of expensive for the oem one though.

My question is can you just remove the airbag from the center cover to gain access to the metal badge? I'll keep looking and post once I find something.

Ok looks like you need to drill out three rivets, remove the bag, take old cap out and then insert new cap and bend prongs, put bag back in place and re rivet.
