GT Style Fog lights for a V6

Hey guys I mentioned before I wanted to add some fog lights but I'm not sure how to go with the install on a v6. I was thinking about one of these in the picture Click image for larger version

Are you looking for true fog light function, or just looks? Placing the fogs in the grille give the retro 60's/70's GT look, but do not operate well as fog lights. Placing the fog lights as low to the street as logically possible will give you the best fog light function. Yellow is the best color of light to use as well. The low positioned fog lights produce less light splatter in the fog mist. Ford offered a lower valance with fog option for the GT's, and block off plates for the upper grille (or these openings where used to provide vent tubes to the front brakes on the Boss Mustangs).

If it's for looks, then its all in the eye of the owner.

I already have some lower valence fog lights that work great. The next ones will be strictly aesthetic

You can buy the lights from american muscle, the 2012 lights are designed to be bolted right in vs a 2013 where you need a bracket. You might also need either a GT style grille or Boss 302 grille with openings for the lights. Also heard you might have to change the bumper since V6 and GT's use different bumpers. From there starkey products sell a wiring harness to plug and play the new fogs. But you need to bridge the connection between the grille fogs and lower valence fogs to have both work. Which is currently my problem on my set up lol

You need tk change the grill and the bumper to GT or Boss 302, also you can purchase a kit can be used for the wiring of the fog lights which does not requires any cutting.

I installed this kit in my mustang and it was very simple as the guide was very clear.

Here is the link to the kit as well
