Does anyone in Kentucky install gears?

I'm at Fort Knox---every place I call says they don't do it; advice anyone? Please don't tell me to do it myself, no tools, and not a lot of mechanical skill. Help?

Try finding a 4x4 place or even a truck shop. A lot of them install gears

I live in Crestwood (near Louisville) and had Lee Blankenship Tuning in Shelbyville, KY install my 3.55 gears. His website is blankenshiptuning. He did a great job, no problems with them at all. He does get booked up, might have to schedule an appointment and wait a few months before he can get to them though.

Isn't there some reputable shop up there? Surely in Louisville at least.

OH WAIT...They may just sell them. But they should know of places for installation.

Try Lee at Blankenship Tuning in Shelbyville, KY. He did a great job installing my 3.55 gears. You have to schedule an appointment, he's usually backed up. He also installed my one piece carbon fiber driveshaft and put my car on his Mustang dyno.

Hello. Have you thought about a Ford dealer somewhere near you? I mean I know the labor fee might be a little high but, if it's not correct they will fix it. They will also calibrate your mph gauge for you also.

Not always true. I believe they can only calibrate for fears that were original options.

I was just in Fort Knox a few weeks back. There seemed to be a lot of nice ponies in there. Sorry I didn't see your thread til now. I hope everything works out on your gears. Thank you for your service.

Check with Billy Bob's Feed and Grain Store. Just a spit and a holler from Fort Knox. He also is the Mayor, Justice of the Peace, Postmaster, Police Chief, Bailiff, Defense Attorney and Issues all Fishing and Hunting Licenses.
