Car vibrating at idle

Hey the car has been having a vibration when at idle and with the ac on. When it vibrates the rpm also gets a little higher and then when the vibration stops the rpm goes back to normal. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this?

It's normal when the air conditioner compressor goes on

Yeah mine does the same as well as some other things but I have a thread on that somewhere. It's normal, the compressor just needs a bit more power so the rpm will jump a little

Mine does that too. I had my whole AC system replaced last summer and they said that's normal.

It's normal to the point of not unusual for the Mustangs. The cars ECU tries to compensate for the added load but often times, on some cars, does a poor job of matching the RPM to the load.
So it's normal to the point of not being abnormal.

What year is your car and why did you have to have the whole ac system replaced?
