Grinding noise when shifting to drive

Was wondering if anyone can help me out with this noise. I took it to the dealership and apparently they didn't hear anything. So they told me to film it. Seems to come and go but generally is there when shifting.

Not sure what noise I should be listening for. I hear a metallic rattle--kinda sounds like shopping carts--is that the noise? Maybe loose heat shield? Some clunk cycling between P-R-D is normal because of backlash in the drivetrain.

It doesn't make any noise when driving or idling only when shifting to drive or between that and park. Mostly when shifting into drive.
Yeah the shopping cart rattle sound kinda sounds like that when shifting to drive.

If you're going to check into it yourself, I'd start with the easy/silly stuff: loose exhaust, heat shields, etc.

Does the sound emanate from the transmission area or further back?

here's another video.

I checked the heat shielding and exhaust everything is good there. Seems to happen towards the transmission area and mostly when shifting to drive only.

I hear it better now...thanks. Not to state the obvious / be insulting, but it isn't groan from the brakes when you shift in to D?

It's less of brake sound and more electric sounding.

Take it back to the dealer with the video. If its under warranty they need to fix it. If they can't figure it out, open up a case with a regional rep or a manager or corporate or try another dealer.

Took it to the dealer and they said that since I have a aftermarket driveshaft that my warranty for my drive train doesn't cover anything. Anyone else know what I can do? Apparently they are also going to charge me $170 for a diagnostic they did to tell me they couldn't cover it.

Put the stock drive shaft in and take it to another dealer. If nothing else then for peace of mind. I listened really hard but couldn't hear anything unusual. That doesn't mean it's not there. Video didn't come across well.
