2014 Fog Light question.

I don't have fogs right now may add the later BUT, was wondering if I pick up the fog light switch will this give me automatic lights? Or do I need the harness in addition to that?

Thanks Guys.

The switch would do it I do believe, since the other part of the harness is just the for the fog lights.

New Question is how difficult wild it be to figure out the wiring to the fogs so I can put them on a separate switch? Is it just a power and a ground?

The OEM switch with fogs SW-6659- 9R3Z-11654-CA (I found Amazon had best price when I got mine last year) will definitely give you automatic lights. Believe (not positive) if in AUTO position and it's daylight, it will also turn on lites after wipers have been on for 10-15 seconds.

I added valance fogs to my 14 Prem vert. Got all parts from Amazon/eBay. Starkey sells complete kit but you pay dearly for it. I did mine separately and saved $100+.

PM if you need/want details.

As for your last question, could work that way too. Just have to be careful as our cars have very small gauge wiring and lights work thru relays and ECU beside passenger footwell. Don't think you would want to use factory switch if you go that way. Separate switch, straight batt/gnd with all new wiring should be fine.

Depending on your timeline, I'll be adding Roush fogs and ditching my factory fogs in the near future. I'll make you a deal 😉

Weird. I can turn my fogs on without my headlights. You just can't leave it in auto mode. I'll double check tomorrow.

My 14 valance fogs work with parking or head lights also. When I installed mine, I powered then thru a relay (came with the wiring harness) off a spare lug in the fuse panel in engine compartment. Factory switch just operates the relay.

To bad it is all 13-14's wanting the fogs, I still have the V6 fogs from my 2010 after I did the CS/GT bumper swap.
