Gas mileage drop

Ok so I drive over 100 miles a day going back and forth to work and now have 75k on my 3.7. When I hit the 70K mark my gas mileage went down like a sack of rocks. Did anyone else have this problem? If so what did you do to fix it?

I would start with a tune up new sparks plugs ,,clean the the throttle body maf sensor .At 75000 miles if the plugs never been changed that might help

Does your state have a "winter gas" configuration? The oxygenated gas here during the winter months drops the mpg by as much as 15 to 20%.
And yes, at 75,000 miles, it's time for a tune up, regardless of the 100,000 mile claim in the owner's manual for the spark plugs. Things like a compression check or checking the output of the capacitive coils, the spark plug wiring, and the MAF could come later if the mpg does not recover after a minor tune.

If you are in GA, I don't think you would have Winter Fuel. Spark plugs, Wires, TB Cleaning and air filter should be the first things you do.

I pulled the OE plugs on mine at 42k and found copper tip motorcraft plugs in it.not platinum . all were well worn. never hurts to check, number 4 [ls front] is the easiest to pull and check
