Kenwood with MUS1 and Idatalink

I purchased a kenwood DNX892 with MUS1 and Idatalink which is a fantastic unit but I have one problem that I haven't seen discussed yet on this form. Within the unit is an icon called 'MY MUSTANG' and within this icon is an icon that says 'GAUGES'. The problem I'm having is the gauges don't work. The installer told me that since I had reflashed my ECU, my gauges within the Kenwood Unit would not work. I'm having a had time believing this since I'm sure a lot of Mustangs are running aftermarket tunes. The gauges in my dash still work, what's up with this? Has anyone ran into the similar problem or does yours work?

My Kenwood gauges work great and I have a tune. For the gauges to work, the Maestro module needs to be wired to the back of your ODBII port (2 wires, red-brown and yellow-brown). If you are able to control your climate settings via the Kenwood, I suspect that the Maestro module is only partially connected. Bottom line, you may need to go to another installer who better understands the wiring diagram.

I have that exact setup! Like the post above nine there are 2 wired that you have to splice into behind the OBDII port
