StormTrooperV6 - Build Thread

I had made 1 thread last year when I did my summer mods, but I figured it's probably a better idea to keep everything together.

So this is what I started with, not my car exactly, but from the outside this is what it looked like:

Update:
Decklid and louvers got pushed back to next Wednesday due to the paint guy having to take care of some special orders.

Got the grilles put on last week:

These grilles actually look better than I thought. I was always a big fan of the roush grilles

I loved the roush too, but then I saw Cervini come out with these and was sold. It's similar to the CDC one, but I honestly wasn't a big fan of the CDC grille, I like the look of this one much better.

I have always thought the V6 hood for these cars were lacking. Any plans to do anything to it or swap it? (long term)

If I were to do anything it would be the Cervini Stalker Hood for sure: 2014 Mustang GT Hood, 13-14 Mustang Stalker Hood - Cervini's

Gotcha. I thought about that one for awhile before doing my hood vents. Sucks all the worthwhile mods are expensive. lol

I have the same upper grille (just yanked the old one out), wanting to add the lower. How much trouble (if any) did you have with installing the lower?

No trouble at all. Like the upper, it's a pretty simple swap.

If I were going to do that I'd need to chrome wrap my car, which I wouldn't be able to bring myself to do.

Louvers and decklid on, I'll take more pictures this weekend after I wash it. The SHR louvers are awesome, definitely worth it.

Looks like you need a rear diffuser to complete the rear end!

Perhaps eventually, but for right now I'm loving the look.

Thank you! I got the louvers and RTR decklid on last week.

I will be posting more pics this week. It's been raining a bit here since the weekend so I haven't been able to do a proper wash and detail.

Just noticed you were in Franklin. I grew up in Murfreesboro. If you decide to add tint down the road, let me know. A friend I grew up with runs his family's shop down there. They do excellent work.

Oh I will definitely be getting tint in the next couple of months, probably around May or so. I'll let you know when the time comes.

Thanks!

Sounds good. I'll be heading down there in June to have them do my truck. Waiting until next year to have the Mustang done.

That looks sick, I like that the black isn't over done, like every accessory added being black like some people do. I agree with previous replies that something needs to be done with the hood. Even just a GT hood with the little cutouts would be perfect, understated but adds character.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I am thinking about adding a tertiary color as well down the road, but we'll see.

Oh no doubt, and when or if the time comes that I decide to get a hood, it will definitely be (at this point) the Cervini Stalker hood.

Here's a previous thread of someone with the hood:

I agree, that hood is sweet; and functional!

The third color may be hard to decide, but having a Kona Blue car I have to say some blue might look good
