Exhaust Question

Good Mornin everybody, I'm new this Mustang Evo. and i looking forward to chatting with everyone. Now, on to the question. I have been modding my exhaust and I'm not to happy right now. I have FRPP axel backs and MRT high flow catted h-pipe. At around 3000-3500 it has this metallic sound ( very annoying and ricey) I'm going to add BBK ceramic shorty headers and change my over axel pipe. Will this help with the rice or will i need to add resonators? I'm open to the idea of changing mufflers if that could help.

Resonators will help but also quiet down your exhaust note also.
The problem with our V6s is that as soon as the mid pipe is replaced you'll get that rasp sound you don't like.
Shorties will help a little but its because of your mid pipe. A set of Borla's will help but be prepared to sell a kidney for a set. Hope this helps.

Ive been listening to all the samples for about a year and came to the conclusion the Borlas are the best sounding. But cost $$$$$$

Borlas are pricey, especially if you go with the ATAKS. But they sound awesome

+1 for Borlas

See if you can find a set someone is selling. I got mine for $200 less and they were brand new.

The problem is the removal of the resonators not the way the Over axle pipes are, if anything they are still cancelling some of the drone and rasp because of the way they are made to actually cancel the noise (flat spot on the left size changes flow enough to get rid of some of the drone).
No need to change A/B's, removal of the stock cats and resonators and putting the H pipe on is the culprit

@Ghostman I will once again have to agree with Siber on this as well. The original cats and resonators dampen the crazy noises we sixers soon discover. The shorties will help bring the tone down and octave but break those mufflers in and after a couple hundred miles and heat cycles and they will sound better.
