I was wondering that. I know Borla mfg the Fords but I wasn't sure if I was crazy thinking they sounded very close.

I'm pretty sure the Ford Racing Sports are closer in sound to the S-types, whereas the ATAK is just loud as hell.

At first I did consider the Roush AB but I heard them in person and they are too loud for me. I also noticed they get raspy. Still nice but at 46 a bit too much for me.

Roush are great if the rest of the exhaust is still stock. Once you go headers or off-road midpipe, it's too much rasp and tin can for most

Sounds to me like you'd prefer the Ford Racing / S-types, they have a nice deep tone that isn't obnoxious.

Yeah, I think you're right. Time to place an order and play dumb when it arrives at the house.

Love it when UPS "accidentally" delivers something

I'd say probably an hour.

3 hours is hard to believe, unless they took a nap in between putting each one on.

It shouldn't take more than 15 mins per side, so 30-45 mins tops! Very easy install. I recommend ramps.

Just curious, but why not consider the Magnaflow street? I absolutely love mine. I even get the crackle after revs... friggin nice.

I'd be happy to make a recording of mine if you like. The youtube ones don't do it much justice.

I did hear them in person and they do sound nice. I just prefer the deep tone of the Borla.

Took me about an 45 min., 30 min. for drivers side, 15 min. for passengers side. I was in no hurry, took my time.

For me the Magnaflows are the deepest, while Borla is a little more loud and raspy... Which is fine, but I was looking for more subtle growl which I feel I got. But Borla and Mags are my two favs and you cant go wrong either way.

That's exactly how I felt when I compared the Magnaflows and the Flowmasters. I just like the sound and look of the Borlas It's all subjective anyway, go for what ya know.

I actually also liked the Flowmaster Force II until I heard them in person. UPS just delivered them 10 mins ago. No garage gonna have to do the install tomorrow.

Good luck on the install. Taking the factories off is most if the work. Also, dont get upset if they sound different at first, they take a good 500-1000 miles to break all the way in. Mine sound totally deeper and bettee than they did new.

I can remember helping my father change the muffler on his 67' Buick Special. Took the entire weekend and I also learned an entire new vocabulary

Go listen to mine, Siberexpress on You Tube, and mine are Touring, but I still have the Decel crackle and pop.
The Magnaflows were on the Short list for me, but I kept going back to the Borla, the 4.5 inch tips look nice on my car

Not exactly the same thing. The Ford Racing Sport Axle-Back is 49 state drive-by noise legal, not legal in California.

Not after break-in... which is one big reason I went with them. Zero drone and no loud "popping"... just a nice subtle deep crackle post-rev

Brand new I got a little drone around 75 mph
