Straight Pipe

Last week i just installed my MAC Long tube headers on my 2013 v6 mustang and welded some mandrel bent pipe from the headers straight to my mufflers. There are no cat's, no x, and no h pipe just straight pipes. With the roush mufflers it sounded like 1000 demons screaming in everyones ears in a 5 mile radius. I switched my roush for my stock mufflers but it sounds gross, I am trying to figure out what mufflers i should try out or should i put some hi flo cats on weld on an x or h pipe or what should i do. Thank you!

I remember in the 1960's people would do this. Nothing but a POP...POP...POP...POP...sound. Cool for back then but not so cool now days. I would at least add a x-pipe or h-pipe, most people sell their Roush mufflers when they add long tube headers because of being too loud

H pipe, I had an x pipe on my car for about 2 seconds before I took it off. Personally, the x pipe sounded like a straight piped Honda. My bud has a h pipe with my setup and it sounds so much better.

You know that you'll lose the performance benefits that an H-pipe or X-pipe provides, right.

It's already straight pipes from the headers to the mufflers complete straight no x or h, so an h setup, like go prochamber set up or just weld a pipe in between that connects the two pipes

The 3.7 is naturally raspy from everything I hear. You need resonators and possibly cats

I am thinking of getting basic magna flow/ flow master mufflers, welding a pipe to make it an h pipe and then possibly cats. Would you think this would make a nice sound?

I run the catted x-pipe with Magnaflow 'Streets' with my long tubes the quietest mufflers Magnaflow make. Still a little raspy at high rpm when stopped, not so bad when getting on it driving down the highway. H-pipe is supposed to 'smooth' out the exhaust flow and sound.

I got 2 1/4 pretty sure. Took the flange from the stock cats and welded it on the pipe then attatched to my mac long tubes and then bent it and welded straight down

would you happen to have had a sound clip of the divorced duals? Id like to see what the sound is like without the midpipe.

You're probably more in at this point than if you had actually just bought an actual exhaust?
