2014 GT Strut Bar On 2013 V6?

Will a 2014 stock GT strut bar fit on my 2013 V6? I am seeing mixed responses online. I've bee researching it for an hour now and some say yes while others say no. Has anyone actually tried this? So I can get a for sure answer. I found one online for $50 and would like it for my Mustang. Thanks!

It should fit fine. All but one of the strut tower bars listed on AM say 10-14 All. The Boss 302 strut tower bar is a good example. It fits V6 and GT. The shock towers are the same. It's just the clearance levels between intake manifolds that are different.

I'm thinking it will fit but I might need to put some washers on it to raise it a little bit.

No, it wont, the V6 manifold sits significantly higher than the GT manifold which is why it requires the Boss strut bar. Its honestly just a cosmetic piece anyways ... If you really want a V6 strut bar, get one with a proper design:

STB010 - Strut Tower Brace, V-6 | 2005 - 2014 Mustang | Strut Tower Braces | BMR Suspension - High Performance Suspension & Chassis

And you don't think I can raise it with washers? Because I actually found this picture of it installed on a v6. Click image for larger version

I wouldnt raise it with washers. In my mind that transfers the load from the shock tower itself to the studs, which would make it even less effective and could actually break stuff. If all you want is a cosmetic mod then i guess go for it, but if you actually want to improve your ride i would just get something meant for it.

I'll be honest though, i had a Cobrajet on my 5.0 and the standard GT brace wouldnt fit, i figured for sure the v6 sat around the same height (which is why the v6 PP has the Boss 302 brace). I cant tell if that picture does or does not have washers, but i stand by my not using washers statement.

What I thought of when I read about the washers to raise the brace lol. I agree with Voltwings. While you obvously aren't going to be this extreme with it, I still wouldn't use a washer as a spacer. It could put unwanted stress on the studs. If you can get a good deal on it, then I say go for it (minus the washers/spacers). You can always turn around and sell it for the same if it doesn't fit.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought the V8 manifold sat higher.
