2015 & 2016 wheel fitment to 2014

Hey guys has anyone ever tried or checked to see if the 2015-2016 wheels fit on the 2014?
I know they changed from standard to metric on the specs. My 2014 is 255/40R19 9Jx19 ET48 5x114.3 1/2" (20 UNF) 70.3.

The 2015 is 55/40R19 96W 9jx19 ET45 5X114.3 M14 X 1.5 70.5. I know the conversion comes out to the newer studs being .052 bigger. The BC is the same. The center hole is .00788 bigger. I figure better chance of 2015-16 fitting 2014 then the other way around.

So if you figure the stud is just under 1/16" bigger dia. I assume the wheels holes are to. I'd like to think if you used the original lug nuts it would center the wheels.

When I called the dealer they said the years don't share any part numbers so he wouldn't confirm or deny compatibility.

I have my new summer only pull off and I wanna get some wheels to get some use out of them. So what do you guys think is it worth taking the chance?

There are a few threads in here that cover this. The short answer is yes they fit. The offset is a little different.

Well I was running stock 17s, these are 18s I used to average 24 now I'm getting 22-23 maybe I've just been running behind to work lately lol but I'm satisfied managed to get them for $550 with less than 1000 miles

Yeah damn good price.
Did you have to get your ecu reset for the larger tires to change shift points, speedo...?

I haven't checked that yet I'm sure it's not a huge difference though if any.....only bummer is that the guy removed the sensors from the tires....not sure if my stock wheel sensors would work with them

I had the same problem man. I sold my stock wheels with the sensors and I put the new 2015 ones on and realized they had no sensors..... So I left them like that for about 6 months and just last week I bought 4 new sensors online for $50 and then paid them $50 to take my wheels off, mount the sensors, and put them back on.

I thought 18in wheels were standard on a 13. Or did you just buy some stock 17s for your car. I have a 12 GT and 18 is the base standard wheel size. I do have the premium edition though maybe that is different.

Yeah I bought my new sensors on ebay for the same amount. And if you have a 14 do NOT buy the sensor tool thing. Your Mustang will read the new ones on its own.

For your loss of fuel mileage, the tires are wider so more rolling resistance and the set up is a little heavier. I would gain 1-2 MPG when I put my winter wheels on (base 17's) and loose it when I put the summer only back on (255/40 19).

2015 & 2016 wheel fitment to 2014

Yeah those are the right ones and then just have them installed in the tires for $50-60. I also had to get them synced to the car for $10.

Nice the tire shop had the remote for that? And I was wondering if anyone knew the correct psi for those wheels? (2015-16 base 5.0 wheels)

So is the 2014 the girst year the car auto syncs? I was floored when I found that out... Thought all cars had to sync, especially if they tell you exactly what tire is low.

I read to keep Pirellis at 32 PSI so that is what mine are at. Also the shop does have a sync tool there and it's $10 for them to do it instead of buying the remote for 50$ online. Even Walmart can do it. For the 2014 being able to sync without the remote? I have never heard of that but mine is a 2013 and it did not sync automatically. I had the sensors in for 2 days before I got them synced and my light did not go off until Walmart synced them. I believe the 2014 and 2013 are identical besides paint color so I don't think 2014 mustangs auto sync while 2013s do not. I think you need either the sync tool or for a shop to sync them.

The 2014 def syncs. I had my AM wheels mounted off my car and put them on myself at home. No tpms light ever came in so I let some air out of one to test it and sure enough it worked. Like I said, I didnt know it was even possible.

I could never understand why each tire had to be synced when it doesn't identify which tire is low.
Apparently it's not for location as I read you can rotate the tires w/o re-sync'g them.

Yes and no!
Compared to my 2011 charger it lacks a lot of odds and ends. Most of which are not very important anyway.
But for just a couple, my '11 has telescopic steering wheel, adjustable pedals, individual tire pressure readings w/o the need to program anything when rotated.
Many of the other things have been added to the '15 Mustangs.
