Cervini GT500 Style Grille

I installed the Cervini GT500 Style Grille last week. I would highly recommend it as I think it looks great!

Did you pull the bumper off to install it? Or did you leave it on for the instal?

I removed the bumper for the install. I don't think there is really a way to install it properly without taking off the bumper.

Looks good! Can the lower be installed without removing the bumper?

The lower requires 8 screws on the backside to attach it, so I'm not sure if that's possible without having the access you get without the bumper removed.

I was only going to buy one but if you ordered both from Cervini in one order you got 10% your total order. I'm glad I went ahead and got both though, because I like the look a lot!

It does look really good. Unfortunately, I have the Pony Package on my car and the lower grille is not compatible with my car.

How come?

I also have the PP and my lower grille looks like everyone else's. I have the Roush upper and the price of the open look Roush lower is too much IMO.

Cervinis kit

Hey do you have any tips for installing? I have the full gt500 conversion kit sitting in my living room(upper, lower, and chin spoiler). Looking to install tomorrow afternoon. How long did it take you to install? I've heard of people doing it without pulling bumper off but there's no install videos/forums on these. I'm pretty nervous about pulling off the bumper. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I'll post pics when I'm done with mine. I have a 13 GT so I'm losing my fogs but I bought the ford GT/CS fog light kit to go with it. So we'lol see how it looks.

Thanks,
Vince

I responded in the other thread. Personally I don't think it can be done without taking the front off.

It took me about 2 hours of actual work. You can put in the CDC grille without taking off the bumper but you can not install this grille without removing the bumper. The grille is attached to the bumper with screws that you have to screw into the back of the bumper. I had never pulled my bumper off before this install, but you shouldn't worry. Once you get everything unscrewed it just pops off without a little bit of force. I actually wrote a guide for American Muscle and am waiting to hear back on whether they are going to use it or not, but that won't help you for this afternoon. I just made sure I had a blanket to set my bumper on so I didn't scratch it at all. Make sure you disconnect the side lights, fogs and temperature gauge before you pull it off. For my grille, I cut off the fog light brackets but that is not necessary and is not actually in the guide provided by Cervini, I just think it looks better without them. One odd thing is that the stock lower grille comes with a place for the temperature gauge to attach but the new cervini one does not so you have to figure out what you want to do with that. I just ended up getting some 3M tape and attaching it that way. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions arise before or during the install, I usually get to my PM's pretty quickly. Here is what you car will look like with the bumper off.
