repaced a radiator 2012 mustang V6

I have a 2012 ford mustang automatic and I replaced the stock radiator for a mishimoto radiator that came with a universal transmission cooler my mechanic sujest me not to installed because my car came equip it, the car is running ok I need some opinion and sugestion

Sounds like OP's mechanic is telling him to not waste his time and money on a rad change because his stock one does the job.

I tend to agree unless you are race car status.

OP already did the rad swap. He's asking about the transmission cooler that came with his kit. As far as I remember, only the Boss had the transmission cooler.

I've thought about installing a (extra) transmission cooler in my automatic. Its not at the top of my 'to do' list. May do it in a few years or maybe not. If i had one, i would install it. Heat is the #1 killer of transmissions

The Boss and PP GTs have an oil cooler, but no S197 mustang comes standard with a transmission cooler. Most automatics are cooled through the radiator, so i'm guessing one of two things:

1. This new radiator does not provide for automatic transmission cooling, or
2. The radiator does provide for transmission cooling but it is insuffecient which is why they included one?

Seems odd that buying a radiator would include a transmission cooler. OP, can you give us a link to what exactly it was that you bought?
