Suggestion for nice looking black wheels with a budget in mind...

Looking for some nice looking black wheels that are not super expensive. Not sure if there are take-offs in black. Like to stay 1000 or less for wheels and tires.

These are OBO. So while they are more then you are willing to spend right now, you may be able to talk them down to 1250 or so possibly.

I have similar wheels on my car and they are VERY nice. And if you do ever choose to add a big brake kit later on, these will work with them!

Do you want factory or aftermarket look? I believe some of the performance pack 18x8 wheels come in black and should be around $300 for a set before tires. Then you're looking at right around $1k with some decent rubber.

And powder coating should run around $250/$300 for a set so if you stumble on a good deal you can always get them coated in black as well.

So I guess they do make OEM factory black wheels.

AM makes VERY nice wheels for around $160 a piece. I waited and kept an eye on the ones I just got and snagged them on clearance for $97 each. I've bought wheels (ASA, Avarus) that were twice as expensive and not nearly as nice.

That wasnt really his question though. He might be keeping his tires for now. It sounds like he wants help finding the BEST looking wheels for the least amount?

WRONG! lol

Looking for some nice looking black wheels that are not super expensive. Not sure if there are take-offs in black. Like to stay 1000 or less for wheels and tires.

And we don't even know what size of tires he has. If he has stock 17s, then he will really be struggling to find some really nice wheels on AM and such that are black. Unless he wants Race Stars or Bullits -_-

What wheels do you have now? Could always get them powder coated for like ~$400.

My bad. Then he will def want to look at the AM wheels. That would be his best hope for the wheels at least. I would look at tires on tirerack.com that's where I get all mine and save big.

Yea $1,000 is hard to pull off on newer tires and rims. Especially gloss black ones because people tend to eat those up. And the OEM 18" FP6 wheels rarely go on sale. So the next best bet is the 2015 GT PP wheels like mine. But for those rims and tires - 1200-1300. If he wants OEM.

Now if he likes Aftermarket, then there are AMRs and such. But you gotta shop AM or someone for those.

I'd like to go with 18s due to the tire cost associated with anything larger.

Well so the problem is - The rims are no problem to get in that $1,000 budget, but new tires are. OR, get new tires, and fugly rims. LOL

With $1,000 or less, one or both of those need to be "used". Now wanting 18" AND Gloss black is fairly specific.

As far as OEM, Ford has not made many Gloss Black 18s. You have the FP6 and I THINK some of the Bullits come in Black?

Take a look at these and see what you think. They are not black but in your budget...

They look to be in fairly good shape.

Checked on just powder coating my wheels. They wanted 85.00 per wheel. Hell that's almost the cost of a new set of wheels.

Do the 2015 wheels fit our Stangs?

Those 2015 GT performance pack wheels are 19x9 in the front on 255/40/19s and the rear is 19x9.5 on 275/40/19 or 275/35/19 I believe.

On our 2011-2014s i have seen people with 20x9 front and 20x10s rear. So I believe you should be ok.

I have 19x8.5s all around w/ 255/40/19s and I do fine.

So if you want to keep it under $1000 and go with all brand new, you might consider going to a 17" wheel, which I don't think looks bad on Stangs.

I found these on tirerack.com and you can pair them with some tires from the same site that run $75 each. Total with shipping and no tax is around $960. You can find a local shop to mount and balance for around $60 if you call around, putting you just a hair over $1000.

I know mine are twice what you want to spend and I actually went for a less expensive tire.

Honestly if I were you, I would plasti dip your wheels and INVEST in a good set of tries with a high wear rating. Then rotate every oil change and the tires should last you long enough to save up for some killer wheels you really love.

I have found when you go cheap you usually just throw your money away in the end.

That is pretty much like one of the sets I suggested. Lol. A little cheaper, but I really like that wheel design. If they dont come with TPMS sensors, then you can swap your existing ones to them.

But you will need your speedometer corrected for the wheel size change.
