Gear ratio on fi

Hey guys!
So just wanted to get ur guys' opinion of gears. I'm making about 410 rwhp and 330 torque but I am still at 2.73. For me it feels fine, kinda long but okay. I saw tests comparing 2.73 against 3.73 and it's only .2 or .3 second difference which makes me not wanna change gears. Anyway, those who have some input please do tell!
Ford dealership did a great job honoring warranty even though I modified the. F outta it lol. I feel like if I do the gears I'll go w dealership for install.

Ford can probably do 3.31s for you which will be closer to ideal for your setup.

I have read on many Forums, 3.55 gears are best for the procharger supercharged Mustangs

if you're really making that low of torque i'd go with a 3.55. Also, the dealer is probably going to charge you around $1500 to do the swap, so i would seriously consider getting quotes from other places first.

If your really liking the 2.73's I would consider going with 3.15's. I have 2.73 with a manual trans and think the 3.15 would be perfect.

I read an earlier thread from years back about 0-60 times between 2.73 and 3.31 and it was 0.5 seconds which is negligible in everyday driving. W my supercharger having added over 150 whp, w my 2.73 I should be quicker than the 0.5 sec offset. With that said, any gears higher than that will spin the tires at launch so those higher gears negate the fi.
I'm almost sure that 2.73 to 3.31 with fi will not be too noticeable.

Volt knows what he's talking about. I'd look into the 3.55's. Since you already have the SC and want gears. Listen to Volt.

I bought the gears (American Muscle) and took them to my local Ford dealer. I was charged $550.00 and they furnished the gear oil and friction modifier plus changed the axle seals. I live in Tennessee, things are cheaper because we make less money One Ford dealer i called wouldn't even give me a price estimate Just saying..........

I swapped to 3.73 from 2.73

Lots and lots of fun driving it in every day real world driving.

Lots of people like to speak about what they "think" it will feel like, l have them and absolutely love them, zero regrets, lots of daily fun with the 3.73s.
