I would ask if you checked for updates. But by doing that, you would have to restore the car to stock first. I would call the vendor. Depending on who you got it from.

How do I update from the computer? I don't see that option.

Yeah it still starts. I called SCT and apparently my tuner is just messed up so I had to send it to them and now they have to try and recover my stock file.

Did you update the X4 at any point WITHOUT unpairing your vehicle first? If you update it without unpairing your vehicle it overwrites everything and your X4 won't be able to connect, from what I understand. So this could be the issue.

Brings up another good note: Always back-up your stock file to your computer or a flash drive. Just incase this kind of stuff happens.

Now that you mention it I think I have updated it without returning it to stock before but I have used the tuner since then so I don't know.

Could be the culprit. I hope SCT can fix it cuz this has to happen often. I've read another person that this happened to as well. At least your car runs though.

Good luck and keep us posted please.
