Add some bass to the base system...

Any suggestions on adding a little bass to the base sound system? I'd like to add maybe an 8 or maybe one of those bass tubes as economically and non-invasive as possible.

You would need to get a rca line out converter to take signal from your rear speakers to your amp. Then you might want to put some bass blockers in your door and rear speakers and change them out while you are at it. Watch some youtube there are a billion videos on this stuff.

Add some bass to the base system...

I just installed a 10" subwoofer and amp in the trunk. Pretty simple and I have a bass knob to adjust how much bass I want.

I used to have a Kicker tube in another car and it worked well. I have wondered about a simple amplified Bazooka 8" tube that could go behind passenger seat. I have upgraded the front speakers with Focals, but would like more bass. Cannot take up any trunk space (Iplay golf and need all the trunk for clubs/cart).

Something like this is what I have in mind.

You can splice the sub into the rear speaker line and then the remote on from the antenna. What about the power wire for the bazooka tube / powered sub?

Kenwood makes an under-seat sub which tucks away easily behind the drivers seat (won't fit under-seat on S-197) that provides ample bass to the factory system at a budget price. I paid a shop $80 to install. This has worked for me in last 2 cars, I also upgrade the factory speakers to Infinity Reference Series, the combination sounds premium without such a big cash outlay.

Sounds like a good option. Do you have the model number for this sub?
