Built my own chin spoiler.

So as some of you know I'm a Welder and my shop builds stuff from beginning to end so I have access to many things like CNC Brakes for forming/bending, paint shop ect just to name a couple.
I've been wanting a chin spoiler for quite some time like the laguna seca one but with the exchange rate and duty/shipping it was going to cost me around 1k CAD.
So I made one out of .100 5052 aluminum, had to use off cuts and weld it together and then form it and cut it.
My goal was NOT have to cut the Oem chin spoiler and not have to add any new holes ect to the car, basically a bolt on.
Here are some pics.
Watcha y'all think?

The hardware is stainless steel and the aluminum chin spoiler is finished in a textured black powder coat.

Thanks guys!
With the first one made I now have a complete template to work with, but I could just image what I'd have to ship it in so UPS didn't destroy it lol.

Nice... If it were me i would have made it go a bit further under the bumper. Would help with airflow under it and would help front end aero. But it does look great. Now go to an Autocross and start slicing some cones.

Thanks.
It uses the oem bolt holes that are there for the oem chin.
This is how far it goes under the bumper.
Sorry the picture is not the greatest.

It does look really good though. My friend makes some also, but uses marine grade plastic. Lots of different ways to do it.

Looks really good! The 5.0 is a nice touch. Hmm I might have to borrow that Idea lol.

Meet me in Toronto with one, and I'll compensate you fairly.

I do go down for blue Jay games so its doable.
The only problem I see is the 13-14 bumpers are different from the 11-12 bumpers.

The splitter is a bit thicker, so it was cut into it. For a thin metal piece, you may have to indent it instead. But it would be cool.

Yeah, I realized that after I posted. If you can find to make a similar one for a 11-12 that replaces the ridiculous stock winglets, I'll gladly pay. Toronto is a short drive. Not to mention I've always loved Montreal.

That's great work bud, you could easily make a few $$$ on the side with clean professional fabbed metal bolt-ons like this. New Edge version coming soon ?
