I have the 'old' MPT ghost cam tune. I run it once or twice a year. Some people say its hard on your catts but i don't care because i have long tube headers and my rear 02 sensors are turned off anyway.

The 'new' MPT ghost cam tune is supposed to be 'more catt friendly'.

I have the 'old' ghost cam tune. I only run it around one month a year in the summer. I didn't notice bad gas mileage but i really don't keep track of it . I also have a automatic transmission. My tune (the old one) 'bucks' pretty bad when driving at low speed in parking lots and places like that.

The 'new' ghost cam tune has gotten rid of the low speed 'bucking' on the automatic's, from what i've read

I was really loving the sound but the fear of burning out my cats has prevented me from using it as a daily. I did run it for about 2-3 weeks and really did not notice any issues.

I did have a strange sound occur one time after getting groceries. I started up the car and it almost sounded like the flywheel or clutch plate rubbed one another. It straight up sounded like a metal on metal sound. I could also feel the vibration through the clutch pedal.

It drove fine after that - even did a few pulls to 5-6k through gears 1-4, felt/heard nothing.

Took the tune off and ever since its never done that again. So in a way I am kinda scared/worried about using the tune for MYSELF.

Gas mileage kinda of dropped (1-3 mpg maybe) but I do a lot of stop and go traveling in my everyday commute.

I have the new version MPT ghost tune. Got mine after Kona Blue got his. No negative things to say. Tune is not really for daily use. Talked to Duane at MPT alot before I got ours. Answered all my questions and dealt with my concerns. Had mine put on with the performance 91 oct. tune. When I do run it, car is like a whole different beast. A WHOLE LOTTA FUN

3.7 sounds like that was your throw out bearing spitting some pieces out. No strange vibrations or noises sense then?

Probably about 2 weeks now or more.

I don't know. She seems fine to be honest but part of me is worried.

Time will tell. Still under warranty for another 15k miles or so.

The new tune still bucks in low speed like parking lots. I know this because I have the new MPT lope tune with my automatic The way to solve the bucking issue, you have to drop down to second gear. Problem solved

Just a near stock 3.7

No problem sir. The bucking did get old after the first minute. Ha ha ha. Pop her in second and she will simmer right down when rolling slowly through parking lots.

Just out of curiosity if I tune my car through MPT. Will that void my extended warranty? And if it does, isn't their a way to rest the ECU, So they can't look back at it. For say the last 5 or 6 times the last time it's been the engine on?? Did this make sense? Lol

Yes, a tune MAY void warranty if you have a problem. No, you cannot "reset" the ECU to where they won't notice. You can tune back to stock, which is recommended for taking it in to the dealer, but they will be able to tell it's been tuned.

I read the Ford dealer can send your computer to Headquarters and they have a way to tell if you have ever had a tune. :Here is a youtube video i did a little while ago of my over 3 years old MPT Ghost cam tune. This was done with a crappy camera so the quality is 'very' bad

Good answer sir. OP, the key word is May void a portion of the warranty. Not the whole warranty but a portion such as engine or transmission
