Turbo?

Want to add a turbo to my car, can i buy any turbo and make custom piping or do i have to buy turbo kits from prochargers and those big manufacturers?

If not, whats the biggest size turbo i can get for my 2014 V6?

A Efx 2614 is about as big as i would go. I'd totally just buy that, and then just like some Ebay intercooler pipes and call it a day. Easy.

If you have to ask this question then yes you probably need to buy a pre built kit as it takes Special tools and mechanical knowledge to do it correctly.

Also procharger doesn't make a turbo kit it's a supercharger kit.

This post alone means that you need to buy a pre-built kit and have it installed by a professional. There is really just one really good turbo kit for the V6 and then the Procharger kit for a supercharger.

Turbo?

For the v6s the lpf turbo is the best out there. And I think bomber performance has done some. Turbo kits are not as easy as putting on a supercharger. Ask me how I know....

There is a LPF turbo kit but, you'll just end up wasting your money and time getting the product; from what I read.

To answer the OP's question yes you can technically get any turbo you want and build a kit for it. Just have to know how to fabricate.

More then likely for a $100 it's an eBay turbo that isn't worth the metal it's made out of.

Don't knock the eBay turbos till you have seen some cars run on them. You may be shocked

Junkyard 5.0, homemade piping with ebay intercooler and turbo. Run 20+ PSI into it and make passes until the motor blows up or the turbo ****s its guts into the intake. Good for ppl who do the JY drag racing thing IMO but not for someone who would want a reliable build.

I've always heard good from them but it's from people that run in their little group. I know they got a pretty fast v6 running though

Go read a little of how many ppl they owe money to that have not got the kits they paid for yet. Recommending LPF to someone basically means you are recommending they take $6k and light it on fire.

Jmp offers a twin turbo set up and single turbo set up. Not sure if he will sell the kit minus the turbo but I'll ask him

He probably would but I can almost guarantee the OP has zero clue what AR the turbo his friend is selling is or any other details about it other than "$100 turbo".

He is selling the kit without the turbo but it's been over 2 weeks and I still haven't hear back from him on the pricing part. But he said he definitely can sell it without the turbo.

As far as I know he will. I basically offered to buy the manifolds and all the charge piping only. He was willing to do it, but then never gave me a solid price or returned my messages.

crying in a small corner because he doesn't have enough money to finish his car LOL

OP, I've had the LPF kit, and I had a JMP single kit (which i ended up selling before using because I decided to go twins) LPF kit was a huge waste of money, the kit was poorly designed, customer service sucks, etc.

I have already done a comparison for all of the available 3.7 turbo kits: Turbo Kit Advice/Comparisons

I know he's currently building a twin turbo kit for the 15/16 5.0. It probably slipped his mind. I just messaged him about replying back to y'all though.
