Your dealer is wrong. It's not physically possible.

That's a good feeling, huh? Break her in gently and get royal purple in her at 3,000. Just my 2 cents. Use motorcraft oil filters.

I believe it's good to do it sooner only for the "break in" period. After that 7k is fine

Beast,

old school here....I did my 1st oil change at 1K or so 2nd at 3-5K then it's time based every 9 months. Mine is NOT a DD so it works out at 4 changes in 3yrs which is one more than the OLM suggests. I doubt the early changes are needed and you really can't prove they help do anything but make me feel better. You'll find 3rd gear is the fun one in the V6 enjoy it

I change my oil twice a year, spring and fall with the OEM motorcraft. But I pretty much only do short trips which is very hard on oil, especially in winter where the car rarely sees full operating temperatures.

I mean, it's the same as someone saying they prefer their 30k loaded Honda Accord to a V6 Mustang.

Fellas,

It's confirmed... The "new guy" is McTurd in disguise. Just when we thought the troll could sink no lower he makes up a fake profile and uses a pic off pinterest (lazy) claiming it's his new V6. At this point I dont believe for a second that he owns any of the cars he claims. Those are prob a friend of his or their parents cars.

He even PMed me trying to be my friend and replied to a post of mine on another thread trying to pull me back in.

Man, how desperate for attention does one need to be to do something like that? I kinda feel sorry for the guy.

Soooo, is it safe to ask OP if he ever got his car dyno'd? He's probably avoiding this thread.

I have not been in to get it dynoed yet, some stuff came up and wasn't able to get it in, but hopefully it will this week. I have been reading this thread as it went along, but never wanted to comment and join in

Your first clue should have been the fact that he supposedly JUST bought a 15 v6 that still had the shipping tape on it...pretty sure you can't find a 15 like that at this point, not to mention one that is a pp car.
