I make almost $25 and the V8 isn't unaffordable by any means.

Ramen and sweet tea isn't a bad way to live though.

So yeah for me slapping a turbo kit to be FASTER than a mail order Bama tuned 5.0 is completely justifiably, plus I'm still saving a couple grand. We're not talking about buying a v6 and then trading it for a v8... We're talking about why you got a v6 instead of a v8. Therefore, you're looking at a 5-7k difference before anything was purchased.

You can't compare dealer TRADE IN value for our v6s to RETAIL value of a v8... Lmfao. You have to compare retail to retail.

College is great, as long as you get a degree in something that there are a lot of jobs in. For example, if you get a degree in business the amount of jobs you have to choose from is almost overwhelming. However, if you get a degree in art history well, good freakin' luck. I have been very successful thus far and am working towards becoming an ACFO, and then CFO thereafter. I am a year away from getting my MBA, which it the last thing I need in order to get pretty much anywhere I want in my career. So for me, having a college degree is a requirement for where I want to be.

Don't get me wrong, you don't necessarily NEED a college degree to be successful, but it's nice to have. It also doesn't need to be from the best school money has to offer, just as long as you went there helps depending on what kind of job you're looking for and what you want your earning potential to be. If you go to a smaller local in-state college it's probably not very expensive, and if you get a scholarship it's even less.

We could talk about this for days, but basically it all amounts to what you want your lifestyle to be, but I definitely don't believe college is a scam at all. Do you need to spend $80k for a degree to be successful? Absolutely not, but you'd be surprised how much you learn in college if you apply yourself. When applying for a job it's nice to have something that separates you from the heard of other applicants.

Since this thread is totally off the rails and we're now into the pros and cons of college, why not step into the fun subject of politics. Clinton vs Trump anyone?

Better question - Why can't anyone in media tell the truth and not take things out of context? When trying to decide who to vote for, regardless of who's running, I feel like I have better odds closing my eyes and throwing a dart and seeing who's picture it's closest to. The media controls who wins or loses in the end.

What wax do you guys use? My best experience has will with Meguiars Ultimate Synthetic. $20 a bottle.

Mainly because I haven't run out so haven't looked for a replacement.

Been using Meguiars products for over 13 years. I use all their products. Make sure you clay bar and polish before the synthetic wax. The results are amazing

I only had 4 hours to make a decision.

So with that being said I wanted a 350z, Mustang or a Genesis Coupe. BUT it needed to be in Manual.

I'm sorry but my hard earned money is not going to go towards a car that drives me....no way in hell......I am driving you and thats final. As long as god allows me to use a clutch I will continue to buy manual transmission vehicles and continue to do my Spirited Driving.

Did a quick search on all of those vehicles through Autotrader, etc.

The only vehicle that met my standards was my Black 2012 V6 Mustang.

She had only 16,000 miles, is and still is a Certified PreOwned vehicle, 50,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. All said and done, taxes, titles, fees, etc came out to be only $18,000. Of course I do not make that kind of money so it came out to be $300-$325/month (the payments have been dropping for the past 2 years) through Ford Financing and at a 5.9% apr.

I know it not a V8 but here in Houston 99% of mustangs either it be I4, V6 or V8 are in Automatic. So my decision was to go for the V6 and just be happy with it.

No matter what I love my car way more than I do my other car (2009 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS 5Speed) so to me it was a huge upgrade. No more FWD for me especially the ones like my Lancer where only the front left wheel got the power....

People with automatic vehicles, to me, are only fooling themselves into believing that this in only way to drive. Handicaps obviously I give them the respect of wanting a powerful vehicle but only can operate it if it's in the auto format.

But other than that there really is no excuse for owning an Automatic over a Manual transmission. Especially in a sports car....

Talking to you Nissan GTR owners...

This is very similar to what happens to a lot of threads on the sandbox. We end up with 200 pages labeled as the merits of the 2016 Camaro vs the M3 in FS, with less than 10% actually on topic.

i hate black cars so much. i wish i didn't get black. i just found yet another new scratch on my hood..no idea how the F it got there, and it doesn't look like a key scratch or anything, so maybe there was a tiny piece of crap on the little mitt thing i use to washt he car and it scratched it. legit, eveyrtime i look at my car i find a new scratch and i'm sick of it. blakc looks like hell after it's washed because of water spots, and when pollen is out, it's yellow. i hate black cars so much. my next mustang will not be black that's for sure.

I went with my v6 because of how well the platform for the 3.7 model is going. Seems like almost everyday something had been fabricated or made that wasn't out there last week. And the cyclone group in my area is amazing and there more like family to me now. 5.0 guys always have a stick up there ***, which this thread has proven lol. I've put 5g down on my car and close if not more then that back into it. Just saying if I wanted a 5.0 I would of gotten it.

I was going back and forth - order the MCA convertible with V6 or the GT/CS convertible with the 5.0. Was at the track with my 2006 V6 convertible with the Xcharger Xtreme. Made a pass and 2 guys who had just picked up their 5.0's came down to talk. They were shocked to see it was a 4.0 V6 running mid 12's.

Decided to go ahead and order the MCA and turbo the 3.7 to have something unique again. The turbo was a lot of fun, when I wasn't blowing up. I think I know what took out the last engine, but sold the turbo and decided I was done trying.

Now wish I would have gone with the GT/CS after losing 3 engines. As far as cost - the MCA was quite a bit less expensive. But, I would have ended up spending the same thing to supercharge or turbo the 5.0 anyway so the cost differential would not have been made up with the turbo on the 3.7. I would have spent the extra for the 5.0, and still spent several thousands on the forced induction (just wouldn't have spent the extra on replacing the engine!)

I like my 3.7, car still looks good. But now I miss the extra power.
