That car would look good with chrome or polished. Or a nice Anthracite deep dish.

Well what I want to do to it is new stereo that has Bluetooth, set of staggered magnetic style charcoal 19's, white mirror covers, intake and tune, rear window tint, slight drop, and some axel backs. I don't want drone but I would like it to be a little louder with nice tone. Idk if or when I would do most of that though lol

My cousin has an 08gt vert. Had mac axlebacks on it but the drone was horrible ( great sounding mufflers btw) he swapped to the 07 gt500 mufflers they sound and look great on his car. Zero drone

So I bought the GT, first I need a stereo with Bluetooth and some mufflers. I've been reading good things about the FR500s

Does it have the stock exhaust still? What setup are you looking at going with?

How does it feel when you punch it? Any different then the 3.7? I do know those 3v GTs really benefit from shorter differential gears.

Yeah, the ONLY thing my dad did to it was add the stripes. For now just axle backs as far as exhaust goes. And yeah, it feels way different (better) though its hard to judge just how much going from an auto to manual

Has anyone gone from a 3.7 to a 3v 4.6?

Well, at least now your drives will be about the whole trip, not just a to b.

Being a 06 vert GT owner I'd probably be biased, but my sister has a 14 V6, and it just doesn't have the top end of a 3V, it gets moving nice, but seems to run outa steam, hers is stock, and I've tuned mine and a few other things, but I'd have my 3V any day over the V6.....

How does a 3.7 not have the top end when it pulls to 7k which is higher then a 4.6? If anything it lacks on the low end which is why so many do gears.
3.7s only get going at 4k plus lol. I think your confused.

Well, when you have 3:73's in the six and 3:31's in the GT the upper RPM's kinda cancel that out, its my opinion, I also have been in semi to fast cars since 1981! It was a seat of my pants feel, no disrespect to the V6......

That's where the 3.7 is lacking do to the not so great tq and god awful 2.73 combo.
When I bought my car with the 2.73s I was so disappointed with it off the line. Once she got going up around 4k to redline it was good but it was a dog off the line.

It needed gears to make up for the lack of tq. Its great with 3.73s now, but with 2.73s and the crappy Oem tune I had (especially for the autos) it was terrible off the line!
Any 3.7 owner that disagrees is biased towards our cars.

I say gears, full exhaust, and tune - first mods

Stage two should be wheels/tires and suspension.

Stage three should be all the extra stuff, brakes, driveshaft, etc to help prepare the driver for stage 4.

Stage 4 - forced induction.

If you have a manual, slap a short throw shifter in there with stage 1 or 2.

After stage 1 and 2, your pony will giddy up!!!

I didn't beat the heck outa her car, it only has 7,500 miles now and that was her first year on the road with it. It seemed to have a good off the line feel, just when you got there it was like a dead spot or something, I think there's 3:73's in it . I was really impressed with the 6, but mine had a tune, cold air and under drive pullies. I here the 6's really take off when they have a tune on them.....

If its not modded the most it will have is 3.31s at best. The majority are 2.73s.

After driving them back to back several times this week, the stock 4.6 FEELS faster than the 3.7 (with shorty headers CAI and axlebacks, removed the tune to sell the car, and 2.73's). Even with the MPT tune on the 4.6 still feels faster.

It's that torque. I am tellin you....

The v6 lacks it. Stock at a dyno, you would probably get 240-250 on the v6.

On the v8, probably 270-280.

HP number will probably be close. But it's the torque you're gonna feel.

A lot easier to get the 4.6 over 300 torque at the wheels then it is for the 3.7 with basic bolt-ons.
