Ported intake manifolds

So I just paid for ported upper and lower manifolds from TB Built.

My question is this mod worth it?

If anyone has any first hand experience it would be great to hear about your thoughts

Thank you!

Since you bought it first and are now asking if it was worth it, you'll be the one answering the question for us!

This has to be a troll or I am just not understanding - people spending money without any research or knowledge of "what".

I think he's asking if people who have done it think the cost to have it done is worth the return in power

Have you done full suspension? Sticky set of tires? What set of gears do you have? There's a lot of mods that are more bang for the buck than porting your manifolds.

I have done some suspension work and am shopping around on what shocks and struts I want now. No I don't have sticky tires yet and I am still using the stock 2.73 gears. Yes I know gears would make a huge improvement in performance. I just haven't decided what direction I want to go. Everything I have done to my car so far I can revert back to stock if I find a good deal on a GT. Gears on the other hand I will have to pay to have them put in and pay to have them switched back to 2.73 if needed.

The main reason I went ahead and purchased the ported manifolds was the fact that I was on a long waiting list and my name finally came up so I didn't want to miss the oppurtunity.

Pretty sure you won't be reverting the heads back to stock. Unless you saved the shavings, have lots of patience and some super glue.

If you name is on any other "LONG" waiting list, you might take the opportunity to ask next time. Could save you money and time.

replacing the manifolds would be as easy as ordering new manifolds then selling the ported ones.
