tempted to say weld it after the spoiler 3m tape thread....

I can't give what I'll say is real help but I found my axle backs easy to install after removing hangers from car.

I'm hoping so. More concerned with power gain than sound, but dont want drone or ricey sound either.

MAC shorties are next on the list.

I put mine up to the existing pipes and marked it, measured the socket and and added that and then cut it off.
Since I could not get the X as far up as the end of the socket I ended up trimming it to keep the Over Axle Pipe from hitting the suspension.
I don't think you are going to be able to get the tips 2 inches further back. I was 1 inch I had to trim to keep it from hitting

Tape the new x up onto the hybrid, then you won't need to cut the other piece out

Do you remember if you cut at the welds or a few inches back?

Yeah it turned out to be right at the weld close to resonators. Damn good fit actually, well done ford racing. Interesting thing was I couldnt see light through the oem cross pipe, so Im assuming this will really get the air moving.

Got her installed. Tightening the clamps was the most physical part, the rest was cake. Sound hasnt changed, just no more gargle on down revs. Feels cleaner but cant push her til I get my dif fixed.

It smooths out the sound and gives a low to mid bump

Definitely did that. Just took her for a light test run and it really woke up the magnaflows. Surprisingly I think it gave it a slightly lower growl without making it louder. After reading up on the H vs X I expected a higher tone, so this is an added bonus.

For $168 I feel like this was a solid upgrade. With the extra flow on the back end I am considering getting a K&N drop-in to see if it makes a difference on the intake end.
