Car Trouble

Was driving around 50mph on city streets when all of a sudden car lost power and went limp. Wrench light and check engine light came on and car was making a weird noise under the hood like it was struggling. Couldn't accelerate and I had to coast to the right hand side of the road. Turned the car off and then back on and everything was okay. This has happened 5 times since within a 8 month time period driving at various speeds. Each time I turn the car on & off again and it seems to reset. Ive only had this car 3 years. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I would recommend going to your local auto parts store and having the codes pulled. It sounds like a bad coil.

Car Trouble

Sounds to me like your tb. Other people I heard of the tb going weird or picking up an abnormal resistance sending it into limp mode before you go racing. If I'm wrong please correct me. Try to pull codes if you can. Might not be able to if no CEL

That's happened to me after cleaning my air filter. Thought it was dry but forgot to check inside the cone and my car shut off. But that was a dumb mistake just once.
