Hazard Warning Flasher don't stop !!!!

I have a few days a Mustang 2012 v6.

Yesterday i open the trunk and engine hood for cleaning and after a unknow time the Hazard Warning Flasher begin to fllash and don't stop even when i turn off the engine and take the key out .

the engine symbol flashes about 6 times and then it stops but is visible and disappears when i start the engine also the radio turn on and play an i do not put it on.

the car can drive but the Hazard Warning Flasher don't stop

and when i a few times quick hit the gas pedal to 1000 rpm there is no good response i sounds like the engine want to stop .

what is wrong ?

suggestions

Sounds like you got something wet that shouldn't have gotten wet. Open up the hood and let it dry out for as long as you can, also the under the hood fuse box.

my 1st thought was something with an alarm system....with out insulting is the flasher button pressed down. If you cleaned with water Dave might be on the right track.

no problem for the radio because i disconect the battrery so everytime when i connect the battery the radio turns on , so one problem lost.

i did not use water at that moment but the day before so it can be.

Mustang has no alarm.

The warnig switch is tricky because when i opened the switch there was some old lemonade in it , think someone empty a tin lemonade on the switch.

i have cleaned the switch but if its ok i dont know for sure.

When i removed the switch the Hazard Warning Flasher don't stop.

maybe this give a idea what can be wrong.

ps the engine symbol flashes exactly 8 times and then it stops but is visible and disappears when i start the engine .

Maybe try to leave the battery unhooked over night to see if resetting the computer will change anything.

Or just start unplugging components for the hazard system and see what stops it

If I had to guess, French or German is WOLFPACK's first language.

Nonetheless; I am glad to know you have the American monster prowling the streets of Europe once again.
