Putting away your Mustang that is. I DD mine and have been without it a few days (lady at work backed into me so it was getting a new fender) and I felt so empty driving. Haven't had it since Wednesday and just got it back today, spent my entire lunch just driving around. Couldn't imagine not driving this beauty everyday.

There's nothing wrong with playing with a toy everyday haha I could probably DD another car but would have to take the Mustang out at least every other day.

Where I'm going its 50 in January and 85 in August... why I'm trying so hard to get it running before I leave so I can take it with...

I live in CO and drive mine year round. I could see preserving a classic but the newer ones will probably never be classics with how mass produced they are

A lot of ppl get a Mustang after wanting one forever and are like "I'll never ever ever ever sell it!". For some that holds but for 90% of ppl they are trading it in 4 years and upgrading lol. I see no sense in preserving a car to sell at a loss to a 2nd owner.

daily here. gets driven in the snow here in NJ, so the bottom looks rusted as hell already. do i care? nah. I'm gonna run this car to the ground probably. only 22k miles on her so far. I'll have it forever and then get a gt one day.

Yeah around here a black car looks white in the winter... gotta take it through a good underbody wash at least once a week in the winter and even then.

Actually around here for a daily with all the idiot drivers and how it gets in the winter if I was staying in NJ I'd look into a Fusion Sport or something.

My personal work truck is a 1991 F150 4X4 with 140 horsepower

The 4.6L 3V trucks from the mid 2000s are retarded cheap and are pretty nice. IIRC there weren't phaser issues with the 4.6L.

You just don't have enough vehicles. :p:

Believe me not having more toys isn't my fault haha. I tried getting an 85 Camaro the other day for $1000 and my wife axed it.

I daily'd mine for about 2.5 years and I did enjoy it. What was tough was trying to keep it nice for going to car shows. She's a garage queen now lol. Over the past few years, I've been working on cleaning her up in those areas that can never stay clean when you daily them. She has just over 64k miles now, so I may decide to look for a low mile Mach that I can take to shows and make her the new garage queen. I've also thought about getting a different year, like a Boss 302 or something. I do know if I got a garage queen/toy replacement, this Mach would become my daily again.

I drive an hour to work and an hour back on my MX5. As soon as I get back home I invent reasons to get in my car and drive and if there aren't any reasons I still drive lol.

In PA here...Plenty of snow & ice...but our Mustangs are still our daily drivers! My husband & I both drive our 2013 5.0's year round. Wouldn't & couldn't have it any other way. I totally understand how you felt with withdrawal symptoms, after a few days...LOL, can't do it. I get it if you have a rare classic, I could maybe see that...but would still have to have another to daily drive?.

It's just torturous when you have to drive something else; could never go half the year! My first mustang ( we have had a total of 5, all convertible, hence the screen name ) someone hit me, and they gave me a purple freakin escort as a rental. It was going to take a couple of weeks to finish my car...after two days of driving that escort, I went back and said you HAVE to put in me in something else...I drive a mustang...and this escort feels like a sardine can. I cannot do three weeks of this! LOL. They didn't want to because I wasn't even technically old enough to rent a car yet ( was only 20, had to be 21) but they did. I drove a nice Grand Am for three weeks but it was still rough. They are meant to be driven and enjoyed, to heck with resale. Life is to short! Enjoy them while you can, I say! At least as long as you know how to handle them in the winter anyway.

Eh... I'm the opposite, I live in NJ and I didn't even drive my old 98 GT year round. Would be depressing to see the beautiful paint and rims all crudded up from all the grey junk on the roads in the winter. Plus I just feel safer in my Expedition in that sort of weather. ATS tires, 4WD on demand, good ground clearance... too many idiots in the northeast driving to trust with a nice car in bad weather but that's me. And they basically coat every damn thing in salt so if you aren't going through the car wash like every other day you are going to crud up the car. Don't enjoy driving in that sort of weather so a big comfy SUV makes it less of a "chore".

Then again, I also have seasonal depression, I get MISERABLE in the winter time. One reason I'm so excited to move to a place where it never really gets cold.

what do you guys do for a wash? bring it somewhere? I never once have. I always do it myself... but how do you clean the underbody? get it up on ramps and just spray with a hose or something?

when I winter wash my truck it's at a diy wash. lots of quarters, rubber gloves, waterproof shoes and all I do is the wand mostly in rinse mode. I will use the brush a little after spraying it to try and clean it. I find whatever soap they use does NOT rinse well at all. I'm thinking that is more $ for them and less for cleaning capabilities.

Where I'm going its 50 degrees F in the "dead of winter" and 85 degrees F in August. Can't wait.

Hit 102 today in my part of Colorado. Absolutely 0 humidity as well, it's all dry desert heat in my part of the state.
