Ordered Airraid CAI and X4 Tuner/Bama tune. I figure I can't go wrong with these two as my next mods. Mod 1 was MBRP axlebacks.
I think I'll get a decent improvement over what I have now.
Well I guess the CAI will be mostly for better sound and looks. Also I like that I can clean and reuse the filter. If I get any better performance, mpg, throttle response that would be cool. I expect most of the performance gain will be from the tune. Of course I'm already thinking about what Mod #4 should be, gears?
Do it just for the heck of it. I can't speak for the 13-14's, but I've seen a few (including my previous) stock ones blow under just bolt-ons and hard driving.
Half shafts for the IRS? He has a 2015... I didn't think they were a problem on the 15+ but who knows. I know the IRS in the 99-04 needs a solid $1000 of stuff from FTBR to get it right... found that out the hard way lol.
i have the 2015 GT and looking to get supercharger (plis little more) and get into the 800-900 hp range so want stronger half shafts. gonna track it periodically. read too much where stock doesnt hold up.

Mod #2 is installed, Airaid CAI. I know there's no significant hp gains but I can say my car definitely feels faster. It accelerates faster, quicker throttle response and delay is reduced some. Plus it sounds better, really growls when I get on it. Overall glad I did it. Car is more fun to drive now. Tuner is coming next...
Wake me up when you get to the turbo or SC! The rest happen so frequently on here....there is no new results. Don't let me be a wet blanket tho! Have fun!
Mod # 3 is in, Bama 91 Performance tune. I know it's nothing new to this group but I had to share. It's awesome! Took it out on some mountain roads nearby for a test drive in the twisties and it was Amazing!!! This car really handles great in curves, especially how it can accelerate out of the turns. My car needed to a couple of short trips around the block and to the store before it learned the new tune. There were a few weird shifts and a couple of pauses then too much acceleration. After that is straightened out and started to run smooth. Now it runs perfect. Good throttle response, great acceleration and it chirps the tires shifting gears. I'm way stoked how my car drives with these mods.
After driving for a week with the intake/tune my car started to feel sluggish again, back to stock feeling. I read about the fuse 47 pull to reset the ECM etc. then I read one that said to turn off the Traction Control. So I tried it and Holy Smokes!!! This is how to make it work right. The Ford manual says TC slows the engine AND applies the brakes to prevent wheel spin. This is what I was feeling. Disable this with a push of a button and I'm back in the happy zone.
