Who else gets nervous leaving your mustang alone in a parking lot?

I'm always afraid someone is going to vandalize it or hit it.

I always make sure I am parked near a security camera, and plenty of lights if the top is down on my car.

Going to definitely show my age here...............discussions like this one alway remind me of Red Skelton and his seagull jokes.....Gertrude and Heathcliff.

Gertrude:
"Say, have you seen that new Mustang parked at the mall?"

Heathcliff:
"Yup, spotted it on the way over."

I park in a different zip code so it looks suspicious if people are walking around the car. But I do have insurance on it so it is covered if something does happen to it.

I do too, but I'm still not entirely comfortable with it.

If I'm somewhere where I'm not comfortable, I don't do it. Fortunately, I live in a decent area and the majority of areas I frequent are decent also.

back in the day when I had a vert (Triumph Spitfire) i didn't lock it under the thought that if they were going to get my radio I also didn't want my top slashed.

I try to park mine where it is easily seen and not blocked between 2 trucks, etc. At night, I usually put the top up.

I guess I sometimes think that the same people who key nice cars out of jealousy, would be the same ones to dump a soft drink or the remnants of a milk shake into your interior if you leave the top down.
Shortly after we got the car, we stayed at a nice motel and when we came out in the morning, someone had dumped 1/2 a cup of coffee (yes, cream and LOTS of sugar) on the front fender and windshield. Of course, overnight like that, the top had been put up.....The sun had already baked it in pretty well, and it took quite a bit of work to get it off at the nearest car wash.

Some people are real pieces of work. Cowardly doing this because of jealousy, as you stated.

Dash cams ppl. Friend of mine has a 360 degree setup that switches on if there is any impact on the car at all and is always on when he is driving. Brand new STI and dude has zero tolerance for asshattery. Sadly we are going in this direction with needing cameras. I think it ran him $500 plus install.

Links to his phone and uploads to a cloud account. He shows me morons doing moron stuff on his way into work all the time. Can also set it to link to home wifi when you are home if you don't have unlimited data.

Sounds like a worth-while mod to me.
Going to try to find some info on these.
