Mine is not a V6, but I was able to drive my 605 RWHP Paxton GT in the rain 2 days last week with no issues. It is a centrifugal unit just like the Procharger for your car is and as such it should respond like mine, stockish feeling when out of boost but a whole different animal when at WOT.
