Have any of you put stripes on your Stang?
If so, What brand did you buy?

I know you didn’t ask — but what color is your ‘Stang and what color stripes are you going with?
I saw a Mustang at a car show with “ghost” stripes just 1/2 a shade lighter than the car. You did not see the stripes until you were close to the car or at the right angle. I really liked his idea.

Mine is Red Candy. Unsure of color yet.
Wife likes white, so probably going to keep her happy.
Thanks for all the replies!

Your car looks good!
Does the double stripe come connected or do you put them on individually?

Here are the stripes I put on my car. The black pieces are separate as was the white. I got them off eBay, it's a 3M vinyl material in gloss finish.

Don't use a cleaner wax or polish because of the abrasives. I use synthetic wax on mine.Click image for larger version

Looks good!
What synthetic wax?
I was thinking about trying a ceramic coat on the car.
I wonder if I should put the stripes on before this?
Do you think I can put the ceramic coat on top of these stripes?

I use Meguires Ultimate Synthetic wax. First thing I do and all the instructions I have received over the years with stripe kits tell you to use wax remover to clean the surface of any wax before applying. I don't know anything about the ceramic products, you will have to contact them.

I would have been just as happy with white stripes but went with gloss black. Ordered from American Muscle, I was quoted $300-$450 for the installation of the stripes. My wife was in the car business years ago and knows a guy that works all the local dealers installing stripes, pin stripes, etc. He came to my house and installed my stripes for $150 . Shop around for the install, good cheap installers can be found . I didn't want to try to do this myself .[IMG][/IMG]

Looks good David.
I am leaning towards the black, but the "boss" likes white. Lol
Heck, silver looks good too!
